About Kids Chess Club

A nonprofit dedicated to bringing the game of chess to every child, regardless of background or ability to pay.

Our Mission

It is our mission to broaden the horizons of young minds through chess by offering educational chess clubs to students and schools who otherwise could not afford it.

Our goal is to teach children in grades K-12 abstract concepts of planning, analysis and strategy through the game of chess. Kids will be excited to understand and amazed by the positive experience that chess offers. We believe that when a child learns the most complicated game in the world they will build self-confidence, develop self-learning tools and learn how to evaluate their own decision-making process.

Inclusivity

We welcome all children from grades K-12, regardless of experience level or financial background.

Education First

Chess is our tool for teaching critical thinking, planning, and analytical skills that last a lifetime.

Community

We build a safe, nurturing environment where kids support each other and grow together.

Accessibility

We offer free clubs to underprivileged schools so every child has the opportunity to learn and compete.

A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit

Kids Chess Club has acquired IRS Tax Exempt Status and is a 501(c)(3) Company. Partial tax-deductible registration fees and donations help pay for Chess Clubs at your school and at other less privileged schools.
